LOLERS / TRAINING

   LOLER Inspections:

PTL engineers are manufacturer trained and certified to carry out all of your 6-monthly Tail Lift Statutory Thorough Examination requirements.

We provide LOLER inspections which include a comprehensive service and weight test.

This is available to businesses and private individuals and can be carried out on-site for your convenience or alternatively at our main Repair Workshop in the West Midlands. During the LOLER;  If any additional remedial work is required; we would advise you and discuss this BEFORE any work is carried out and/or charged.

Once any LOLER is carried out, you will be added to our bespoke computer system and will automatically receive a reminder for the next 6 monthly LOLER. This means that you will never have the headache of chasing an Engineer to attend or worrying that a LOLER has become overdue. We would simply call you 2 weeks before the due date and book the LOLER in for a day and time to suit you. Our Preventative Maintenance Procedure is carried out during every Lift Service ensuring peace of mind and reliability in-between the service intervals.

Our LOLER examination is the most comprehensive available in the industry.

LOLER Regulations:

Please note that it is a requirement of current legislation for Tail Lifts to be regularly examined at a frequency of no more than 6 months apart.

Further information regarding LOLER and your legal obligations as a Tail Lift operator is available from the HSE approved Tail Lift Guide. Click on the link for more information.

Training

Operator / Driver Tail Lift Training

Here at PTL our mission is ensure the safety of the driver and passengers of accessible vehicles at all times. It is surprising how many calls we receive on a weekly basis from Companies who’s lifts have been damaged due to operator error. This can become a costly repair, requiring parts, which sometimes results in the tail lift being out of service for days if not weeks. More significantly, it is a very stressful for the passengers, who are our first and foremost priority.

Our aim is eliminate such occurrences by offering our bespoke training program at a minimal fee to drivers so that they are fully competent in the general functions and in the safe use of a tail lift. Upon completion of the training the drivers / operators can feel confident to be able to understand the functions of the lift and operate it manually, in the event of a tail lift malfunction and recognise the importance of daily checks.
